International Competitions & Awards
Jason Wu
Received Honourable Mention in the 24th JQA International Environmental Children’s Drawing Contest.
This award was presented in recognition of outstanding artwork and creativity.
Jason was the only student from New Zealand to receive an award in the 2024 competition.

Awarded Winner (First Round) in the DEGA International Art Association — “Happy Depart 2024” International Kids Art Contest (Theme: World Peace Exhibition).

Public Recognition
Lucia Zhang
Awarded 2nd Place in the 2024 National Party Christmas Card Design Competition organised by Members of Parliament.
Her artwork was featured inside the official Christmas card.

Cynthia Zhang
Awarded 1st Place in the 2024 National Party Christmas Card Design Competition.
Her artwork was selected as the official Christmas card cover.
Both artworks were later collected and displayed in the office of the Prime Minister of New Zealand.

Academic Excellence & School Achievement
Devin Ding | Year 11
Achieved A* in the Cambridge Art Course (2025).

Successfully completed Year 13 Design coursework and portfolio with excellent results, and received admission to the Bachelor of Architecture, University of Auckland.

Awarded the school’s Annual Art Award in recognition of outstanding artistic achievement.

Recognised in the 2025 Mythical Creatures Art Competition at ACG Parnell School for the amazing artwork created by the student.

Awarded the school’s Art Cup (2025).
Previously received the same award in Year 2, becoming one of the youngest recipients and achieving this recognition twice during primary school.

School Recognition & Featured Achievement
Lucia Zhang & Cynthia Zhang | Saint Kentigern Girls’ School | 2025
In recognition of their outstanding artistic achievements, Lucia and Cynthia were specially acknowledged during a school assembly and personally interviewed by Principal Mrs Marianne Duston.
Art Reimagined Through Sustainability (2025)
A total of 22 students were selected as finalists, including 18 students from Studio Orsay.
All 18 finalists participated in the exhibition held on 26–27 July 2025 at Gifford Art Gallery.

International Exhibitions
UWEE International Art Exhibition — Paris
Each year, many Studio Orsay students participate in and are selected for international exhibitions through the UWEE International Art Exhibition.
Selected student artworks have been exhibited at the Louvre Museum, Paris, celebrating young artists on an international platform.

Artwork exhibited at the 7th UWEE International Art Exhibition — Paris.
Her artwork was selected for personal collection during the exhibition, recognising both artistic quality and international audience appreciation.

Awarded Overseas First Prize in the 2025 JQA International Environmental Children’s Drawing Competition.

The award was presented by Prime Minister Christopher Luxon and MP Nancy Lu, followed by an official commemorative photo.
2026
National Recognition
Lucia Zhang | 2026
Artwork “Second Skin” was selected as a Finalist in the National Youth Art Awards (NYAA) 2026.
Selected from a competitive field of 517 entries nationwide, the work advanced into the national final stage.
International Recognition
Jessica He | Age 14
Successfully selected for the Sketch for Survival Junior 2026 International Longlist.
The competition received entries from more than 60 countries worldwide, with approximately 2,000 submitted artworks.

Artwork selected for the cover of the ACG Parnell Yearbook.
University Admissions
Hanna Pan (mentored by Teacher Jing)
Successfully gained admission to Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London.
Artistic Practice & Personal Milestones
Julia (Adult Student) | February 2026
An original oil painting created at Studio Orsay was purchased by a collector for NZD 650.
This represented an important milestone and encouragement in her artistic journey as an emerging artist.
Community Partnerships & Student Exhibitions
Studio Orsay Parnell has established ongoing exhibition partnerships with Life Doctors Epsom and Auckland Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Group.
Selected student artworks are regularly curated and exhibited within the clinics, creating opportunities for young artists to present their work in professional community spaces and engage with a wider public audience.
Through these long-term collaborations, Studio Orsay continues to support students in developing artistic confidence, public presentation experience, and meaningful community engagement.
